Many Canadians Chose Party Before Campaign
15 percent made their choice before the debates.

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) — A majority of Canadian voters had made up their minds about which party to support before the 2008 federal election campaign began, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies. 54 percent of respondents decided which party to vote for prior to the start of the campaign.
Conversely, 15 percent of respondents decided on election day, 12 percent selected a party after the televised leaders debates on October 1 and October 2, and 15 percent made their choice before the debates....
