GROWING GRASSROOTS ACTION
Stop the trade treaty no one knows
Alberta and British Columbia didn't exactly advertise their signing of the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) — much less hold public hearings or open debate in their legislatures. Now the Council of Canadians, Maude Barlow and Murray Dobbin are raising holy heck about TILMA. And grassroots opposition is growing to a groundswell. Google "Stop TILMA" and you'll get 20,000 hits already. One interesting site is the new Google group devoted to sharing information across Canada. If you haven't tried Google groups before, this is a good one to sample.
