Canadian program helps Afghans deal with psychological trauma.
Faculty members of the Centre for Peace Studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada sought to develop a means to ease the mental and emotional distress of war-torn families in Afghanistan. They created 16 colourful, cheerful children's stories that offer clear lessons in how to return to normal family life after the horrors of war. Touching, yet humourous too.
