Web pages celebrate cross Canada contributions.
As well as being Women's History Month, October is also Islamic History Month. Included are York University President Prof Mamdouh Shoukri, editorial writer Haroon Siddiqui, and physicist Prof M Abdus Salam, who won the Nobel Prize in 1979. As the CIC says, this is only a partial list, but it's an important reminder that Canadian society is enriched by diversity.
