CHURCH OF THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER
Pastafarians defend evolution.
From Tampa, Florida, comes news that yet another school board has been dissuaded from trying to add Intelligent Design to the science curriculum (alongside evolution) by a deluge of email from self-proclaimed Pastafarians. Members of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster insist that their Creation story (that their deity created Earth with a touch of its "noodly appendage") must have equal time with any other Creation story, besides evolution. "They've made us the laughingstock of the world," complained one school board member, who initially supported the Intelligent Design bid — which has quietly faded away.
