Every year, government and business leaders gather in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum. Ordinary folks are definitely not invited, and in fact, Switzerland has made demonstrations very difficult in Davos. Since 2000, non-government reps have organized an alternative World Social Forum for their own discussions. This year, the WSF is largely a virtual gathering that kicks off January 22.
