As you keep dragging up more so-called "eastern Liberal elites" (not my words) to defend the gun registry, what continues to be apparent is that these people have never seriously looked at the registry to determine whether it ever did what it was supposed to do. If you did so you would find out what firearms owners have know from its inception, the registration of non-restricted firearms was never designed to succeed at reducing crime or indeed effectively register firearms. It was designed to harass firearms owners and waste an obscene amount of taxpayers money in the process. I'll gladly defend health care because that system works (if with difficulty) but I won't defend a system that was designed to fail from day 1.
