Turning water into a commodity and the export of water has been a Conservative dream stretching back 60 years or more. Now, they have it in hand!

Harper changed the water laws his last time at bat. Among much fanfare of higher penalties for water sales he turned the authority to export or not over to the individual provinces! And, it includes our water aquifers something that no one else on earth has done.

Alberta has a fully engineered project, the Weatherford Project which was done in the 80s.

This project is capable of moving 2/3rd of the flow of the Peace River to the US Border to facilitate export. It is complete with 8 pumping stations each using the power of a city.
