Lets be the devil's advocate and try to give some though to Rudasingwa's allegations. If at all the RPA shot down Habarimana's plane, this must have been a covert highly classified operation whose circle of awareness must have been limited to very few individuals within the RPA, possibly the topmost commanders of the RPA. President Kagame was for a long time a military intelligence officer and professionally he knows the importance of keeping the circle of awareness (COA) as tight as possible. He must have known the consquences if such highly classified info leaked to the outside world. There's no way he could have confided in Rudasingwa about a highly classified operation that the latter had nothing to do with. For what reason would President kagame reveal such topmost secret? this is not something that a serious person like president Kagame can reveal through careless talk. Rudasingwa is a lier, period. Motive?

Although Theogene Rudasingwa used to be close to president Kagame, he is no more. Rudasingwa is today a fugitive, comvicted of terrorism at home and an enemy of the Rwandan state. No wonder then that he is now trying to malign President Kagame. After falling out with his former chief, can he be regarded as objective when talking about the same chief? certainly not.
