Harper isn't just targeting lower-income seniors, his policies are also targeting single seniors. And single we all are sooner or later....... It is a fact of life.

When are we going wake up- stand up and truly fight back? Our employer sponsored pensions are under attack, our job security as we try saving for retirement is under attack, our wages are under attack, we are being asked to work longer (and where are all those employers who are looking for employees over 60 never mind 65?), And as of January 1, 2012, we are now being penalized further if we take early CPP at age 60 ....and now the OAS is being threatened!!!!

It is time for change!!! We need to do what our parents and grandparents did in the first half of the twentieth century- wake up stand up and fight back for our rights.

They are not only targeting seniors, they are targeting low income families as well, by changing their tax refunds to monthly instalment instead of one lump sum! This makes it more difficult to pay off large bills,! Insurance etc. and causing people to pay interest on loans or Cr. cards. They assume that we would spend it frivolously on perhaps drugs? Well I do spend it on blood pressure, thyroid and some vitamin pills! They seem to be joining the GOP in the US with their war on the poor. As one former GOP candidate stated, "If your poor it's your own fault". Would someone please start a petition so I can sign it.
