How about the Ont Gov. deciding to give us low income people (I am a senior) their tax refunds monthly because they are afraid we might spend it, if we get in one lump sum! They are right I would use mine to pay for my auto insurance for my 12 year old car and my home insurance so I don't have to pay 4% interest on top by paying it monthly! Is the government going to pay me interest when I get it monthly. Now I have to pay it from my savings and lose interest or my RIF and pay more tax on it! What arrogance! Do they think I will be buying drugs with it? Actually I would blood pressure and thyroid pills and some vitamins and then there is my $1600.00 dental bill! et. etc. So now I get a monthly payment because the government doesn't think I am responsible enough to look after my finances! Well guess what I raised 2 children on my own and managed my income just fine! I did not spend money frivolously and invested what little I could. Give me the money, I am entitled to in one lump sum $1000.00 approx. so I can pay my bills!
